Thanda Island is an ultra-private island retreat located off the coast of Tanzania within a protected marine reserve, offering complete seclusion and exclusive use in one of the Indian Ocean’s most unspoilt settings.
The island accommodates guests across a beautifully designed main villa with five en-suite suites, two traditional Tanzanian bandas, and the private catamaran Umoja, allowing flexible configurations for families, private groups, and multi-generational stays. In total, the island can host up to approximately 24 guests across all accommodation options.
Stays at Thanda Island are fully staffed and fully inclusive, with all meals, beverages, spa treatments, water-based activities, and on-island services included as part of the experience.
